Disability Resources

Student Disability Services has curated the following resources, which will be especially helpful to faculty and staff who work with students with disabilities, but which may also be of interest to students and researchers in the field.

Reviewing and Obtaining Your Records

Under FERPA, students are allowed to inspect and review their files maintained by SDS. Students have the right to challenge any information contained in the files that is incorrect, misleading, or not accurate, and to request amendments to this information.

Students may request a copy of their records, including requests for copies of disability documentation and accommodation letters at any time. Student Disability Services asks that students make their requests in writing, be specific as to what is being requested, and allow a reasonable amount of time to fulfill your records request.

Please specify the preferred mode of receipt and applicable address or fax number in your request. Materials may be sent by email, mail, fax, or a copy may be picked up in person.

See more information about UCSF's policies regarding FERPA on the website of the Registrar.
